Where I’ve Been:
Considering that I don’t typically travel during summer, the past three months have been filled with thrilling press trips, helping me fulfill my goal of writing articles that inform, inspire and entertain readers.
Wyoming:

I attended the SATW Western Chapter Conference in Cody, Wyoming, during which I got to participate in a number of adventurous activities to get to know the area, including white water rafting, horseback riding, going to a rodeo, visiting the Buffalo Bill Center of The West and more. Afterwards, I was on assignment for a solo road trip in the Bighorn Mountains. Read my article about the experience.
Alaska on a Princess Cruise:

My first trip to Alaska was even more incredible than I imagined it would be. Aboard the Discovery Princess cruise, we stopped as several small Alaskan towns and had some amazing adventures, including a helicopter tour over an ice field, a canoe ride and hike to a glacier, and cruising in scenic Glacier Bay National Park.
Turks & Caicos:

I’ve been to a lot of islands in my life, but I have to say, I think Turks & Caicos has the most incredibly beautiful water of anywhere in the world! I was hosted at the incredible Grace Bay Club and got the opportunity to see the soon-to-open South Bank – a $400 milion development by Grace Bay Resorts. It is beyond impressive.
Mammoth:

Mammoth is my Happy Place! I typically visit during winter, for epic downhill skiing, but this year, visiting in the fall was just as much fun. I got to try the Via Ferrata, Summer Tubing and the Mountain Coaster. I stayed at the newly opened, dog-friendly Outbound Mammoth with modern cabins, firepits and a breakfast food truck.
Santa Barbara:

Who doesn’t love a girls’ getaway to the coast? While in Santa Barbara, I took a free walking architectural tour, did a salt cave meditation, rented a bike for a ride along the beach, hopped about the trolley for a tour of Santa Barbara, ate lots of amazing food (Goat Tree, Angel Oak, Scarlett Begonia) and stayed at the iconic The Ritz-Carlton Barbara, Santa Barbara where I had the most amazing spa treatment. I also spent time in beautiful Montecito where I browsed the hip boutiques along Coast Village Road, had a delicious lunch at Bettina Pizzeria in the Montecito Country Mart and stayed at the impressive Rosewood Miramar Beach where I dined at the MICHELIN-starred Caruso’s.
Germany:

My trip to Germany was actually like three trips in one. I spent the first few days on a group press trip hiking through the scenic Saarland on part of the Saar-Hunsrück Trail that stretches more than 250 miles across the entire country. Next, I visited Wiesbaden, where I was born! It was the first time there since I was three years old. I found the home we lived in and got a private tour of the picturesque city known for its thermal baths. I ended in the cosmopolitan city of Frankfurt where I took a cruise on the River Main, went to the Observation Deck at the Main Tower for a sprawling view of the city and visited the charming New Old Town.
Hotel Review: Glamping in Sonoma
As much as a I love a five-star hotel, there’s something about getting back to nature that calls to me. There are numerous glamping opportunities in Northern California Wine Country, but the two that I stayed at recently in Sonoma were fabulous.

AutoCamp Russian River offers modern luxury accommodations in the form of airstream trailers or canvas cabins with a beautiful mid-century modern Clubhouse with large fireplace, General Store and seating areas. For dining, visit the nearby charming town of Guerneville.

Wildhaven Sonoma is a bit more rustic, has direct access to the Russian River and offers clamping in canvas tents or wood cabins. There is a General Store for essentials. For upscale dining, shopping and wine tasting, head to nearby Healdsburg.
